UK Government Responds to DCMS Committee's Gambling Report, Focusing on Reform and Responsible Gambling

The UK Government has recently published its response to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Committee's report on gambling regulation. More enhanced financial risk assessments will only be carried out on customers with the highest online spending, and for the vast majority of these customers, the checks will be conducted frictionlessly using data sharing. The Gambling Commission is expected to publish its own response regarding the financial risk checks in the near future.
